The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien, released in 1987 by Book Club Associates by arrangement with Unwin Hyman Limited.

The book is in fine condition, with some flaws to the jacket and some bumps to top and bottom of the spine.
Some minor rubbing and wear to the edges.
No writing appears inside the book.
The text block is bright and clean, with no foxing marks.
The map endpapers are clean and bright, unmarked.

The boards are the original dark green cloth with gold stamping of tolkien's name, The hobbit, publsihers name and rune design on the spine.

The dustjacket is not price clipped and in good condition, with only two flaws, a sticker was removed to the front and once a cellotape was stuck
over some small tears at the bottom of the spine, that now has been removed but taken away some of the green color.

This edition is special since it shows the red banner "The Hobbit 50th Anniversary" in the right bottom corner of the jacket.

A very nice copy of the 1987 50th Anniversary Edition of the Hobbit by the Book Club Assocates in a very good jacket.
