The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien, released in 1990 by Unwin Hyman Limited.
This is the 4th edition of The Hobbit, namely the 7th impression, in tolkien's original dust jacket design.

The book is in fine condition, with some flaws to the jacket and some bumps to top and bottom of the spine.
Some minor rubbing and wear to the edges.
No writing appears inside the book.
The text block is bright and clean, with no foxing marks.
The map endpapers are clean and bright, unmarked.

The boards are the original dark green cloth with gold stamping of tolkien's name, The hobbit, publsihers name and rune design on the spine.

The dustjacket is not price clipped and in good condition, with only two flaws, some bumps and wear at the bottom of the spine and
some bumps at the right corners. There is a small tear in the right corner edge, where the board also has been bumped.

Overal this is a very nice copy and the flaws on the jacket are only noticeble on close inspection.

This The Hobbit includes several illustrations by J.R.R. Tolkien, who have been printed on a nice sturdy whiter paper.
