The Hobbit is the 17th printing, July 1982, ballantine paperback.
The Fellowship of the Ring is the 7th printing, July 1986, ballantine paperback.
The Two Towers is the 82nd printing, July 1986, ballantine paperback.
The Return of the King is the 78th printing July 1986, ballantine paperback.

This is also a set to feature the illustrations by J.R.R. Tolkien, as the covers of the book and slipcase, rather then the Barbara Remington designs as found on previous issues. The blue and mild colors make this set stand out in any collection.

These paperback books are in good condition, with some tanning to the covers. Rubbing and stains to the spines. The Hobbit is read the most.
The slipcase has rubs, mainly to the corners. Rubbing to the bottom of the slipcase has cause some color loss.
